I have 20 years experience working in top salons here in Edinburgh, London and Spain, a period of which I worked freelance in London. This was an extremely popular service, but back home in Edinburgh was always where I knew I wanted to settle. So I returned to Edinburgh 4 years ago and started work again within a salon, quickly building a strong, loyal clientele. After a while I decided to do some research, offering clients the choice of service they preferred - in salon or a home visit? The result showed that a big percentage of clients would like the choice, sometimes to come to the salon but to have the facility of a home visit would be helpful in some circumstances. Equipped with this information I have restructured my time and can now offer both services.

In the salon

I work three days a week in the salon "Kim McGregor" in Stockbridge. This is a very successful, busy salon where collectively the staff have many years of experience. This is an important part of my week where I enjoy working with a professional and talented team.

Freelance hairdressing

Hairdressing at home is far more comfortable and successful these days. You will receive the same standard of service as you would in the salon, but with the added benefit of being at a time and location that suits you. This also cuts out salon overheads, so generally savings of 25% are achieved - an important factor in today’s financial climate. Not only do I bring with me a wealth of knowledge and experience, I bring all the equipment, including the salon basin! This ensures your home visit is as comfortable as possible.

I use all professional products - L’Oreal and Redken being my preferred choice, but will be happy to discuss your exact requirements at our initial appointment.
